Crypto fraud: Stratford Drive
On April 5, a Stratford Drive resident called police after realizing they had been scammed out of $36,000 from a crypto gaming app. There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
Theft: North Church Drive
On April 6, police were dispatched to a North Church Drive address after a resident discovered that her cell phone was missing.
An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said the phone had been stolen. There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
Open container: York Road
On April 6, a concerned passerby called police after observing a man slumped over the wheel of a Ford Escape, which was parked on York Road.
An arriving officer located the driver. The Parma Heights man was cited for open container.
Disorderly conduct: Pearl Road
On April 8, police were dispatched to a Pearl Road address regarding an overdose.
An arriving officer located a Medina man, who apparently had taken too many psychedelic-type drugs. He was transported to the hospital and cited for disorderly conduct.
Stolen vehicle: Independence Boulevard
On April 5, police were dispatched to an Independence Boulevard address regarding a 2014 Nissan. The vehicle, which came back as stolen, was in the parking lot of an apartment building. There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
Drug abuse: Pearl Road
On April 5, a concerned resident called police about suspicious persons in a Dodge Caravan. The caller said the suspects appeared to be falling in and out of consciousness for more than an hour.
An arriving officer located a Youngstown man and an East Liverpool resident. They were both arrested for suspected felony drugs.
