Eighty-eight corporate leaders have joined forces in a letter endorsing US Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign. Chris Larsen, Ripple’s co-founder and executive chairman, was among the signers of the “strategic” letter to support the Democratic nominee.
The significant endorsement comes just a day after Russian President Vladimir Putin revealed his support for Harris.

Ahead of the US elections, several public figures, corporate leaders, politicians, and industry figures have backed former US president Donald J. Trump’s presidential campaign. The Republican candidate’s industry-friendly approach has received massive support from the sector, amassing millions in crypto donations.
The community has also supported the Democratic nominee and US Vice President Kamala Harris, organizing several initiatives and fundraisers to back up her campaign despite her undisclosed crypto stance.
On Friday, CNBC reported that eighty-eight corporate leaders signed a letter disclosing their support for VP Harris. Ripple’s co-founder Chris Larsen joined the figures endorsing the presidential candidate amid the firm’s legal battle with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Nonetheless, the letter’s purpose was not to “convince the general public to vote for Harris.” As explained by the report, the letter aims to serve as a “well-timed political show of force” ahead of the September 10 debate against Republican candidate Donald Trump.
The endorsement letter states that the signers consider the Democratic nominee as “the best way to support the continued strength, security, and reliability of our democracy and economy.” Additionally, it adds that Harris’ election would continue a “sound business environment,” backed by the business community’s support.

The list of signers includes several high-profile CEOs of public companies like Box’s Aaron Levie and Yelp’s Jeremy Stoppelman. Moreover, former CEO of Paypal, Dan Schulman, and former CEO of 21st Century Fox, James Murdoch, joined the figures signing the letter.
More Figures Endorse Kamala Harris’ Campaign
Pro-crypto billionaire Mark Cuban joined Ripple’s co-founder in the endorsement letter. Cuban previously participated in some initiatives by the crypto community, like Crypto4Harris, which aimed to advocate for the Democratic nominee and push for a friendly approach to the sector.
Global leaders have also shown support for Harris’ election. On Thursday, Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin, endorsed the Democratic candidate’s campaign.
During the plenary session at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), Putin revealed that the Russian government would follow Biden’s recommendation to support Kamala Harris. The global leader also complimented the Vice President’s laugh on his statement:
I once said that if we can name a favorite candidate, it would be Joe Biden, but now he’s not participating in the election campaign. He recommended supporting [Kamala] Harris. So, that is what we are going to do… Her laugh is so fascinating. It means that everything is good.
The growing support of the Democratic presidential candidate comes amid the reports of her campaign accepting crypto donations. Recently, it was announced that the VP’s camp was utilizing Coinbase’s Commerce platform for donations.
It was later clarified that Harris didn’t begin accepting crypto donations directly. Instead, the Democratic nominee’s official political action committee (PAC), Future Forward, joined the platform and now accepts digital assets. Nonetheless, it could suggest a more openly friendly shift in Harris’ campaign towards the sector.
