LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —Some flags were stolen, Bitcoin fraud and several attempts at retail theft highlighted the Lower Makefield Township Police Department’s blotter of criminal incidents for the past week.

6/15/2023
FRAUD —300 block of Ramsey Road, reported at 12:56 p.m. The complainant reported sending an unknown person $225 in Bitcoin during a phone call scam.

ATTEMPTED RETAIL THEFTS:
- 1600 block of Langhorne-Yardley Road at CVS, reported at 9:39 a.m. The store manager reported an unknown male attempted to conceal merchandise before being confronted by an employee on June 13.
- 500 block of W. Trenton Avenue at CVS, reported at 11:56 a.m. The store manager reported that two unknown females attempted to conceal $123.37 worth of merchandise before being confronted by an employee.

FRAUD —300 block of Daleview Drive, reported at 9:47 a.m. The complainant reported losing $1,500 through a phone scam.
RETAIL THEFT —700 block of Stony Hill Road at Giant, reported at 12:04 p.m. Loss Prevention reported a man entered the store and removed $251.24 worth of merchandise without paying. Further investigation led to the identity of the man and charges were filed against the 44-year-old Trenton, N.J. man.
SOLICITORS —200 block of Greenview Rd. reported at 4:53 p.m. The complainant reported that solicitors for Paramount Home Solutions soliciting without permits. They were advised to cease soliciting until permits were obtained.

THEFT —700 block of Big Oak Road, reported at 9 a.m. The complainant reported the theft of five flags sometime overnight.
6/11/2023
BURGLARY —1600 block of Edgewood Road at Edgewood Chapel, reported at 7:30 p.m. Police responded to the report of an open door at the location. Further investigation revealed the door to the Chapel was kicked in. Nothing was reported missing at this time.
6/10/2023
WANTED PERSON —Route 332 and Interstate 295, reported at 11:56 p.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. A records check revealed the 35-year-old Bristol man had a probation warrant out of Bucks County. He was taken into police custody.
