In 2019, Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum’s second-largest crypto coin, tweeted that XRP Bitcoin. Now, those sentiments have resurfaced amid the rising interest in Ripple.
As Cryptonewz reported earlier, Fruition Production is set to release a documentary on Ripple’s XRP in November, which will air on top platforms like Apple TV and Amazon.
XRP is better than Bitcoin – Vitalik Buterin
Of all the crypto coins in decentralized finance ecosystems, Ripple’s XRP arguably has the best supporters. XRP fanatics have now bet on the upcoming documentary to boost the coin to a bull run.
The enthusiasm has trailed back to Vitalik Buterin saying XRP was the better choice of money than Bitcoin. Back in 2019, Vitalik’s views were based on Pierre Rochard’s research on Bitcoin’s value.
Pierre Rochard called Bitcoin the ” ideal stablecoin” and “peak sound money.” To that end, Vitalik said XRP, not BTC, was the better choice for sound money.
Given the potential of both networks, the competition between Ripple and Ethereum has been ongoing for quite some time. This was exacerbated by the fact that the US SEC chose to file a case against Ripple over XRP, which is considered to be a security, but not against Ethereum’s ETH token.
In the video released by X (previously Twitter) user @NerdNationUnbox, Buterin seems highly convinced in Ripple’s value proposition. The setting, which resembles a discussion at an event, features a young Vitalik Buterin discussing what Ethereum is truly about.

The 14-second video appears to be about the ‘internet of value,’ which the Ethereum founder claimed is what most people think Ethereum is about. However, he clarified that Ethereum is not the internet of value. Rather, the founder claims that Ripple is the Internet of value.
